Perhaps in your youth you saw Larry Wilcox on The Tonight Show telling Johnny Carson about what Eric Estrada did with live poultry in his off hours, or maybe the last time you were in Cuba enjoying a cup of tea with Fidel you noticed all the coconut shells and lit candles in the back room?  Speaking of Cuba, does Ricky Ricardo’s rendition of Babaloo in old reruns of I love Lucy stir some form of unnamed longing down in your soul?

If so, you’ve come to the right place for our latest episode of The Occasional Fag.

This episode's roundtable is all about the Orisia or Yoruban Religions as practiced by members of the GLBT community in New York City.  We chat up David, an Lucumi Priest of Oya and Michael, a recent initiate and iyawo (novice) about this ancient African religion transplanted to the Americas and how this pertains to fags.

We end the episode with the Church Ladies for Choice Song of the Segment: a celebration of Yasha Bunchik, founding mother of the Church Ladies, known also as Sister Mary Cunnilingus, but also now known to all as Madge R. Deagan.

For more information see the web sights below that David recommends.
